From October 25 to November 13, 2021 , I had the opportunity to present two photographs alongside professionals and amateurs in photography during the exhibition "Rêveries Urbaines" in Rouen.

The objective:

Explore in depth the city of Rouen and its rich historical heritage in order to offer an informed perspective on its evolution.

My project:

I decided to highlight two emblematic symbols of Rouen, sources of pride for its inhabitants:

 

On the one hand, the majesty and tranquility of Notre-Dame Cathedral, captured during the first lockdown. Its impressive immensity and calm atmosphere were a source of comfort for many Rouen residents, reflecting both the architectural grandeur of the city and the resilience of its community.

 

On the other hand, the festive spirit of the Armada 2019, a memorable event which brings together the largest sailing ships in the world every four years.

This maritime celebration embodied Rouen's openness to the world, its cultural wealth and its dynamism. The Armada symbolises the city's conviviality, offering residents the opportunity to come together and share unique moments of joy and discovery.
